GREEN BAY – Wide receiver Jordy Nelson and fullback John Kuhn sat out practice again Thursday, but Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy wasn’t yet ready to rule them out for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
With the bye week up next, the smart money would say that none of the injured players will play Sunday, but at this point, the Packers apparently are holding out hope that both players’ hamstring injuries could be better in time for them to practice Friday.
Here’s the official Thursday injury report for both teams:
Asked about Kuhn and Nelson after practice, McCarthy replied, “They’re both in rehab today. I know they’re both encouraged to have their visit with the doctor tomorrow. So tomorrow will be their last day to practice.”
McCarthy was considerably less optimistic about Shields and Perry,
“They’re doubtful for this week,” McCarthy said.
