
PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Green Bay Packers may have agreed to terms with unrestricted free-agent defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove on Sunday night, or maybe they didn’t. Either way, Hargrove – assuming it’s indeed him – sure was Tweeting like he was headed to the Packers.
The 6-foot-3, 272-pound Hargrove, a seven-year NFL veteran, was with the Seattle Seahawks last season and had 18 tackles and three sacks. Set to turn 29 in July, he started his career with the St. Louis Rams as a third-round pick from Georgia Tech and spent three seasons in St. Louis. His best NFL season came in 2005, when he played in all 16 games and registered career highs in sacks (6.5) and tackles (51).
On Sunday night, the user of Twitter handle @A94Hargrove, an account that is not officially verified by Twitter but appears to be that of the veteran defensive lineman, posted the following Tweets:
