DETROIT -- The legend of Matthew Stafford apparently will grow a little bit more today, and if the Detroit Lions quarterback beats the Green Bay Packers, it'll be off the charts.
Four days after throwing the game-winning touchdown pass with no time left on the clock and with an injured left shoulder against Cleveland, Stafford is active and will start today's Thanksgiving Day game against the Packers, despite being listed as doubtful on the official injury report. Stafford sprained the A/C joint in his non-throwing left shoulder on the play before his 1-yard touchdown throw against the Browns.
Wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who suffered a knee injury on the Hail Mary pass the play before the TD, is also active after being listed as questionable. Both players missed the teams' Oct. 18 meeting at Lambeau Field, which the Packers won 26-0.
